Distributed HDAS offers localized signal conditioning and data acquisition, synchronization among high number of inputs and outputs, ruggedness, powerful onboard processing, and scalable network to distribute and communicate between nodes. Depending on the distribution distance, data bandwidth, synchronization, and determinism requirements, there are a wide variety of networks that you could choose starting from UDP, TCP/IP, OPC (OLE for Process Control), Modbus, EtherCAT or other industrial network.
