The synchronization\naccuracy has to be within the hundreds of <\/em><em>\u00b5s. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Solution:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>NI compactRIO architecture\nthat deals with multiple digital input modules along with the Time-sensitive\nnetworking for tight synchronization across. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Physics\nreactor deals with highly accurate data acquisition and monitoring. This is\ncrucial to determine and diagnose what happens when a certain condition was to\nbe triggered. Haliatech, as the alliance partner for National Instruments (NI)\nin Indonesia, offers the recently announced Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN)\ntechnology.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fault\nDetection System across the reactor numerous digital points is one of the\ncommon yet critical applications. One of the most challenging requirements of\nthis application is to be able to have a distributed monitoring solution while\nsynchronized with each other.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"496\" height=\"663\" src=\"https:\/\/haliatech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/img-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-516\" srcset=\"https:\/\/haliatech.com\/id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/img-3.jpg 496w, https:\/\/haliatech.com\/id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/img-3-224x300.jpg 224w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 496px) 100vw, 496px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The\nmodular and embedded approach of using cRIO combined with TSN technology is one\nof the most suitable solutions to this challenge, mainly comprised of three\nmain components:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The FPGA technology within\n     compactRIO (cRIO) is ideal for monitoring digital input with the rate up\n     to \u00b5s or even ns precision.&nbsp;<\/li><li>The recently-announced TSN\n     technology that enables the highly synchronized operation with each of the\n     cRIO used, up to the order of 100s \u00b5s.&nbsp;<\/li><li>The modular and rugged\n     design of the cRIO allows future expansion, making the setup is\n     cost-effective and efficient.&nbsp;<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>A\ncloser look at each of the components mentioned starting from the FPGA\ntechnology used. As we know, FPGA (Field-programmable gate arrays) is well\nknown for its flexibility, reliability, hardware-timed speed, and\nparallelism.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>FPGA\nhardware-timed speed is possible due to the design of the implementation of the\napplication logic itself. This approach would\nenable our customers to be able to discern one and each of the data acquired up\nto the 10 \u00b5s accuracy*.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In\ntandem with our FPGA solution is TSN Technology. Time-Sensitive Networking is\nan update to the IEEE Ethernet Standard that has been in works for quite some\ntime, involving companies like NI, Intel, Cisco along with organizations like IEEE,\nthe Avnu Alliance and the Industrial Internet Consortium (IIC).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>TSN\noffers various benefits, including the simple and reliable synchronization of\ndistributed measurements. By adopting the technology, we managed to keep our\ndevices in sync up to 1 \u00b5s accuracy**.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"645\" height=\"485\" src=\"https:\/\/haliatech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/img-4.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-515\" srcset=\"https:\/\/haliatech.com\/id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/img-4.jpg 645w, https:\/\/haliatech.com\/id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/img-4-300x226.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 645px) 100vw, 645px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally, all of our design resides within\nthe cRIO solution. cRIO is well-known for its ruggedness, industry-standard\ncertifications, and high-performance.
